The appeasers - the co-dependant enablers of and apologists for evil - in this country are pleading with us to not "rush to judgement" about poor Major Jihad's (AKA Malik Nadal Hassan) motivations for his jihadist attack at Ft. Hood.
Why do these people so willfully refuse to see things for what they are? Why do they insist on trying to hide behind a fact-proof shield?
Here is a summary of what has become known about Maj. Jihad (AKA Malik Nadal Hassan) so far:
Hasan is now known to be a Muslim.
Hasan in now known to have argued in the past that Muslims should oppose the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hassan is now known to have compared a suicide bomber to a soldier who throws himself on a grenade in order to save his fellow soldier's lives.
Hassan is now known to have prosteletyzed to his colleagues and patients.
Hassan is now known to have been in contact with radical imam Anwar al-Aulaqi.
Hassan is now known to have once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.
Hassan is now known to have given his neighbor a Koran and told her "I'm going to do good work for God" on the morning before his murderous rampage.
Hassan is now known to have made several attempts to contact Al-Qaeda.
Hassan is now known to have shoutad 'Allahu Akbar" prior to opening fire on his unarmed, defenseless victims.
If we are not going to jump to conclusions, could we at least walk slowly towards one?

Don't Rush To Judgement

I Was Right Again
Yep. I must be some kind of psychic.
Headline from the Austin-American Statesman reads: Pistol linked to attack called powerful, concealable 5.7mm handgun called 'an assault rifle that fits in your pocket.'
The FN 5.7 has already been demonized as a "cop-killer weapon" by the willfully ignorant. The same yahoos have already been working on trying to get it banned.
The legacy media will hype up the "pocket assault rifle" for a bit and then the cries for the resumption of the useless AWB will begin.
You just watch.

Yep, I Was Right. "Maj.Hassan was a Victim"
Yep, I was right. Major Malik Nadal Hassan is already being portrayed as the victim of islamophobia.
Predictably, the apologists for evil in the legacy media hide behind their fact-proof shields and willfully refuse to see the truth even as it smacks them in the face.
The New York Times is even claiming that Maj. Hassan was suffering from some kind of visceral combat stress that rubbed off on him from all of the veterans he counseled in his practice.
Hogwash. Hassan isn't the only mental health preofessional who counseled returning war veterans suffering from PTSD. But he is the only one who expressed sympathy for jihadists, the only one who compared suicide bombers with a soldier who throws himself on a grenade to save his fellow soldiers, the only one who was disciplined for prostelytizing to his infidel colleagues and patients, the only one who called the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan “a war against Islam,” and the only one who killed a dozen people and wounded 30 more.
The fact is that Major Malik Nadal Hassan was acting out violent jihad against American soldiers.
The shootings at Fort Hood raise many questions. Major Nidal complained of being treated poorly by fellow soldiers because he was Muslim. It got bad enough, according to a New York Times article, that he hired a lawyer to seek to end his military career early. This request was denied, and he remained in the military. How severely did Islamophobic treatment by the very people he was trying to serve impact Maj. Hasan? How did the army's refusal to let him end his service early, even though he agreed to pay off the cost of his education, affect his feelings about the army? What kind of stresses are Muslim soldiers placed under when they are deployed to areas where they are killing fellow Muslims, and perhaps people of similar ethnic background? Is the army taking extra precautions to deal with the additional stresses these soldiers are under?

But, because a soldier identified as the gunman had a name that led to the presumption that he was Muslim, the incident inspired an all-too-predictable explosion of Islamophobia.

Ft. Hood Shooting: predictions
A few predictions:
1) Even though the cat is out of the bag already, the MSM will studiously avoid and try to bury the fact that Malik Nadal Hassan was a Muslim.
2) If they can't do that, the MSM will claim that Hassan was the victim of discrimination.
3) The Brady Campaign, VPC, et al will try to link the shooting to Texas' CHL law.
4) The anti-liberty crowd will try to use this to further their push for a renewal of the failed AWB.
You just wait.

Ft. Hood Shooting: PC is Going to be the Death of US
Less than two hours after it happened, the FBI had already issued a statement saying that the shooting was not linked to Islamic terrorism.
Isn't that comforting.
Besides the fact that a mass shooting is by nature an act of terrorism, let's look at what we know now:
The shooter, Major Malik Nadal Hasan, was a Muslim.
The shooter, Major Malik Nadal Hasan, was scheduled to be deployed.
The shooter, Major Malik Nadal Hasan, was known to be extremely unhappy with his impending deployment.
The shooter, Major Malik Nadal Hasan, was known to have argued in the past that Muslims should oppose the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.
So, of course his heinous crime wasn't linked to Islamic terrorism at all.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it necessarily is, but how the hell can the FBI be so sure when they haven't even had time to conduct even the most rudimentary investigation yet? Since when do we pronounce judgement before we gather all the facts? When we fear that those facts just make some sacred cow uncomfortable, that's when.
Oh, they'll do an investigation all right. And what they find is absolutely going to support their foregone conclusion. It's what they were told to do by their liberal bureaucratic masters who willfully insist on hiding behind a fact-proof shield that protects them from ever seeing anything that will conflict with their visions of a rainbow-and-unicorn populated fantasy land.
This PC crap is going to be the death of us all.

Shooting at Ft. Hood.
Just today, there was a mass shooting at Ft. Hood. At least two shooters. Current estimates are 12 dead and 31 wounded.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6705518.html
One of the shooters' - I mean ALLEGED shooters' - names has been given as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
Surprise, surprise, surprise.
Let's see how the MSM spins this one. I'm guessing it won't be good.
